This summer I have been writing the third installment of the Gallia’s Triumvirate series and churning out some spicy scenes in the summer heat. People always ask me, “What are your favorite scenes to write?” Spoilers- it’s usually not the spicy ones, although from time to time one does get inspired. 😉

I think my favorite scenes are the ones that involve a lot of banter and a dash of sarcasm. (No one who knows me will be shocked by this revelation.) It’s always fun to write about Tzi, Mica, Kellum and the whole extended “family” of humans, fae, and dragons. I have really grown to love Kanavara and Altus.

One of the best parts of being a writer is you get to create a place where you can escape the real world. That’s a pretty damn good perk of the job! In book three I get to explore a new place (Nirooz) and a new creature (the wyvern). Not only what Nirooz looks like, but the country’s history, culture, how they wyvern look, think, interact with their human companions, each other, and how they see their world. It’s been a fun new challenge. There will also be a new romance to warm up the pages.

I might be writing this is the summer heat, but book three will come out in early 2027 when you could use a little spice to keep you warm.
